A timely reminder that bullying is NEVER ok

I've just read kizzia's latest post, in which she discusses how the whole sexism debate sparked by wellingtongoose's recent meta on the subject has made her feel - specifically in relation to the hate that wellingtongoose has received for daring to venture an opinion on the topic. 

I wish I had written this - GO READ IT HERE - it encapsulates exactly how I feel about the whole thing. 

Bullying is never acceptable.

Just no!

It's sad that we aren't surprised by it. I mean Kiz got some truly vile personal abuse because someone disagreed with a plot point in a Merlin fic she was writing. There are some people that make me ashamed to live on this planet.

Oh yeah. I was part of a group about 10 years ago in another fandom that had a lot of nastiness directed our way. I was informed at one point my name was on someone's "list". *snort*

Unfortunately, the number of people who make me disgusted to be breathing the same air they are seems to grow daily.
